I have been the pastor of Ridgeview Baptist church since 1999. We started with a
congregation of approximately 20 people, and now run about 100. Although this is
small and seemingly insignificant by most standards, we are thankful and give God
the glory for what He has done.
My desire for our church is quite simple. I want us to be a church that pleases and
glorifies the Lord. I am convinced that this will be accomplished through Spirit
led worship and obedient, faithful service.
Specifically this will best be achieved by:
Sincere, Spirit-lead, God honoring praise, and worship
Brotherly love and unity void of hypocrisy
Bible based preaching and teaching
A sincere endeavor to fulfill the Great commission (in our community and worldwide)
Living holy, separated lives in this present, evil world
A conscientious effort to edify and strengthen the homes and families of the church.
One preacher said it best, “As the homes go, so goes the church”.
Although we have not arrived, if the Lord will help us in the above areas we can
and will be a church that pleases and glorifies Him.
In closing, I hope this gives you a thumbnail view of what we are seeking to accomplish,
and where we hope to arrive spiritually at the Ridgeview Baptist church. I might
add, that we are not interested in changing goals or direction, nor following in
the ways of the modern church, but are determined to stay in the old paths. May the
Lord help you to find His perfect will for your life.
